Visiting Hours

Visiting Hours on the Medical/Surgical and Extended Care Unit are from 7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Visitors may enter through the front lobby of the hospital during these hours. After 5:00 p.m., the main entrances are closed, and visitors must enter the hospital through the Emergency Department.

The Intensive Care Unit is open for family visitation at any time. Overnight visitation is welcomed in the ICU.

Contacting a Patient by Telephone and Mail

Receiving appropriate mail will often boost an individual's spirits. Patients and residents may receive mail daily. Mail should be addressed to the patient or resident and sent to Person Memorial Hospital, 615 Ridge Road, Roxboro, NC 27573. Each patient on the Medical/Surgical unit has a private telephone. The telephone number is 503-5 plus the room number. Intensive Care Unit patient rooms do not have telephones. Inquires may be directed to the ICU nursing station at 336-503-5778. Extended care residents in rooms 650-657 may be contacted by dialing 505-5 plus the room number. Residents in rooms 210 - 260 may be telephoned by dialing 598-7 plus the room number. Room numbers may be determined by calling 336-599-2121. If you have a concern about patient care and/or safety, please contact hospital Administration at 336-503-5799.

Parking

Parking is free for those individuals who are being admitted or are visiting a patient or resident at Person Memorial Hospital. Emergency department patients are welcome to park behind the emergency department for convenient access to the department. Rehabilitation patients have designated parking spaces near the Rehab Department. Cardiac Rehabilitation and Outpatient patients may park in front of the Specialty Clinic. There are designated spaces reserved for physicians to the left of the hospital. Employee parking is behind the hospital. Visitors and others are requested to park in undesignated spaces in front of the hospital.

Cafeteria

The Cafeteria is located on the first floor between the lobby and emergency department. A typical menu consists of hot entrees, sandwich bar, and a salad bar with homemade soups in the winter months. Visitors and staff can find a wide variety of food choices in our cafeteria. Across the hall from the cafeteria is the courtyard with tables where many dine outside during the warmer months.

Monday - Friday
Breakfast: 7:00 a.m. - 9:45 a.m.
Lunch: 11:00 a.m. - 1:45 p.m.

Weekends
Lunch: 11:00 a.m. - 1:45 p.m.

Drink machines are located at the end of the cafeteria hallway, past human resources and before the Specialty Clinic.

NOTE: The cafeteria is closed each day from 1:45 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. for cleaning. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Chapel

The Chapel is located close to the emergency department. It is a non-denominational chapel where patients, residents, family members and guests may go for prayer, reflection or meditation. The chapel is open everyday.

In the interest of maintaining a healthy environment, Person Memorial Hospital is a smoke-free campus.
